Robert Lee Williams Jr

Robert Lee Williams Jr, 59, of Buckhannon, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

He was born in Buckhannon on October 22, 1966, a son of the late Robert Lee Williams Sr. and Mary Louise Perrine Williams. Robert was also preceded in death by one sister, Tammy Williams.

Forever cherishing their memories of Robert are his daughter, Morgan Phthisic and husband, Walter, of Hacker Valley; three siblings: Kim Hinchman of Adrian, Cindy Pugh and fiancé, Jeff, of Buckhannon, and Dusty Williams of Adrian; several nieces, nephew, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Robert was a man who found comfort in the calmness of nature and the thrill of the hunt. He had a deep-rooted passion for fishing and hunting, hobbies that he cherished and looked forward to every season. His camp was his sanctuary, a place where he could unwind, find solace, and work on old trucks. Robert enjoyed coon hunting with his daughter, Morgan, by his side. His commitment to these pursuits, his respect for nature, and his unbridled enthusiasm were an inspiration to those who knew him. He was also a hardworking individual who spent many years working in the oil fields, a testament to his tenacity and resilience. Your family loves you and will miss you so much; go rest high on that Mountain.

Robert’s request for cremation has been honored by Clutter Funeral and Cremation. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
