Richard Thomas “Bosco” Oldaker, age 66, of Upper Childers Run, Buckhannon, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his home.
He was born on June 3, 1957, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Winfred Ray and Phyllis Maxine Sargent Oldaker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister Vera Oldaker and one brother-in-law Jimmy Smarr.
Surviving are one daughter Jessica Oldaker of Palatka, FL; two grandchildren: Jestin and Jaden Sweat; one great-grandchild Jessalynn Sweat; one sister Nancy Smarr of Buckhannon; three brothers: Donald Oldaker and wife Sharon, Timothy Oldaker, and John Oldaker, all of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, his body was cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 2-4:00 PM, at the Kesling Mill Lions Club. Private interment will be made in the Heavner Cemetery at a later date.
