Mon Hills Music Group signs folk artist Matt Malinoski

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mon Hills Music Group signed Matt Malinoski as one of their newest folk singer-songwriters on Feb. 2, according to a press release from Mon Hills Records.

Malinoski will release two original singles through Mon Hills Records.

“I could not be more excited to work with Mon Hills. I had the opportunity earlier in the year to record with the session band; it was an amazing time. Having a place to record and continue to grow as a musician is an incredible opportunity. I look forward to getting to work and making some music,” Malinoski said.

Malinoski, a senior at West Virginia University studying marketing, has built a reputation for honest lyrics and compelling performances. He is from Charleston, W.Va., and is known for his heartfelt songwriting and authentic musicianship. His music reflects both his Appalachian roots and modern sensibility.

“We are excited about signing Malinowski [sic] because he is the kind of artist that everyone can enjoy, regardless of whether they listen to the country/rock genres,” said Olivia Martins, director of A&R. “He emulates the morals and values that Mon Hills strives to uphold.”
