Richard Ralph “Rick” Anthony, age 86, of Buckhannon, the Hinkleville Community, died on Friday, December 20, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born September 19, 1938, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Ralph Harrison and Della Virginia McCartney Anthony. He was united in marriage on September 15, 1960, to Barbara June Scarbrough Anthony, who preceded him in death on January 1, 2024. He is survived by one daughter, Sondra K. “Sonnie” Anthony of Buckhannon; special extended family: Marc, Terry and Eric Law; Matt, Debbie and Emily McCabe; and Kevin, Rachel, Elliott and Greyson Law. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters.

Rick was a 1957 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M. of Buckhannon and a member of the Straight Fork United Methodist Church.
