High Point Construction takes over lead in men’s golf league

High Point Construction took the top spot in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League after defeating Sam’s Pizza, while Highland Landscaping and Feola’s Flowers tied for second place.

TENNERTON – Following two weeks of rain outs, the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League was back at it this past Wednesday, and the league has a new leader.

High Point Construction took the lead away from Hank Ellis Insurance after a 23 ½-16 ½ victory over Sam’s Pizza. High Point Construction has 67 points.

Highland Landscaping and Feola’s Flowers are both tied for second place this week with 63 points.

Highland Landscaping remained in second despite dropping a 22-18 verdict to First Community Bank while Feola’s Flowers moved up two spots from fourth to second after taking down last week’s leader Hank Ellis Insurance by a 23-17 score.

Hank Ellis Insurance dropped to fourth place with 62 ½ points.

The other match of the week saw Lisa Cain Edward Jones defeat Custom Cabinets by a 21 ½-18 ½ score.

John Moss of Highland Landscaping won Low Actual honors with a 36 while John Egress of Feola’s Flowers and Kenny Tenney of Lisa Cain Edward Jones tied for Low Net honors with 32.
