Raymond Thorpe

Raymond Thorpe, age 82, of Tallmansville, WV, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 8, 1940, in Freeport, PA, a son of the late Raymond and Genevieve Palyszeski Thorpe. On May 10, 1958, he married Joyce Lucas Thorpe who survives of Tallmansville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chris and Greg Thorpe both of Tallmansville: one daughter, Carrie Harsh of Tallmansville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Curtis and Jacob Harsh and Joshua Thorpe and two sisters, Betty Kirkland and Patricia Kulas.

Mr. Thorpe loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time at his pond with his friends and family. Mr. Thorpe was dedicated to his customers and was a really good man. He was able to explore the whole U.S. except for Hawaii. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM in Buckhannon.

In honoring Mr. Thorpe’s wishes he will be cremated.
