Queen has lone goal in Wesleyan women’s 1-0 win over Point Park

PITTSBURGH — West Virginia Wesleyan midfielder Maggie Queen scored early in the eighth minute and the Wesleyan defense held strong for the remaining 82 minutes to defeat the Point Park Pioneers 1-0 in Pittsburgh, Sunday.

The Buckhannon, W.Va. junior recorded her third consecutive goal in three games when Hannah Dietrich dropped a perfect ball from a set play to Queen’s head and she buried it from eight yards out.

The Lady Bobcats return home for a match against Wheeling University Wednesday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
