Public invited to respond to Hope Gas’s 41% rate increase proposal

The West Virginia Public Service Commission will hold virtual and in-person public comment and evidentiary hearings Nov. 3–6 on Hope Gas’s proposed $79.6 million, 41% rate increase, with registration and written comment options available.

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia has scheduled a virtual and in-person public comment hearing and an evidentiary hearing on a proposed $79.6 million increase in rates for Hope Gas. Inc., customers.

The public comment hearing will begin at 6 p.m. on November 3, and the evidentiary hearing will begin the following day at 9:30 a.m., continuing through November 6, if necessary. Both hearings will be held at PSC headquarters, 201 Brooks St., Charleston.

Those who wish to participate in the public comment hearing should register with the Commission by 4 p.m. October 31.
