Priscilla Lynn Tuning

Priscilla Lynn Tuning, 83, of Romney, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV.

She was born in Beverly, WV, on April 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Preston L. and Wanda Williams Smith. Priscilla married James Earl Tuning and together they raised their family and shared their lives in
Pickens, WV, until his passing on July 30, 1997.

In addition to her parents and husband, Priscilla was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Scott Smith; three sisters: Maryrita Hull, Charlotte Cole, and Delores Weis; and step daughter-in-law, Brenda Tuning.

Forever cherishing their memories of Priscilla are two children: Linda N. Richardson of Clarksburg, MD and Russell L. Tuning and wife, Ramona, of Buckhannon; four step-children: James O. Tuning and wife, Patricia of Buckhannon, Hayward L. Tuning of Maysville, WV, Barbara E. Kingsbury of Peterburg, WV, and Joseph B. Tuning of Clarksburg, MD; 32 grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley M. Carter of Little Rock, AR; one brother, Dave Smith of WA; and several nieces and nephews.

Priscilla was a Christian by Faith and a homemaker. She graduated from Fairmont High School. She enjoyed sewing, reading, hunting, and fishing.

Priscilla’s request for cremation has been honored. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
