Patrick Eugene Hardman

Patrick Eugene Hardman, 60, passed away June 15, 2020, at the home of his parents in Buckhannon, W.Va., after fighting a year long battle with lung cancer.

Pat was born in Buckhannon on Nov. 5, 1959, the son of Rev. Edward and Lavonne (Bonnie) Wilfong Hardman. He grew up in parsonages where his father pastored.

Pat is survived by his parents; one brother, Joseph Michael (Mike) Hardman of Daytona Beach, Florida; one sister, Rebecca (Becky) Mearns and husband Ralph of Nutter Fort, W.Va.; three nieces, Samantha Martin and Michael of Morgantown, W.Va., Elizabeth Mearns of Nutter Fort and Sonoa Hardman Litts and Robert of Daytona Beach and one great nephew, Leonard Martin of Morgantown.

Pat graduated from Liberty High School in Clarksburg, W.Va. He spent most of his adult life in Dayton Beach, where he worked at Winn Dixie, Target, and World Market.

His greatest love was fishing with his three musketeers in Florida and was a great NASCAR fan. He was a United Methodist by faith.

Pat was loved by everyone he met and always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Maude Hardman, Everett and Beatrice Wilfong and one special nephew, Tyler Clayton Mearns.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 4 p.m. at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with the Rev. Larry Green officiating.
