The local chapter of P.E.O. International will hold a multi-family yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Immanuel Chapel Church. The site is the former Episcopal church.

Items will include gently used furniture, home décor, appliances, electronics, tools, holiday décor, jewelry, purses, baskets, children’s toys, books and more. The event provides a sustainable way for community members to declutter while offering affordable goods directly to local neighbors.

“We have over 20 families participating this year, making it an excellent opportunity for treasure hunters to find great deals while helping us raise money to benefit educational opportunities for women,” said event coordinator Sharon McNemar.

All sales are cash and carry.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood is a nonprofit organization that has helped more than 129,000 women pursue educational goals by providing approximately $462 million in educational assistance via loans, scholarships, various philanthropies and a foundation. The local chapter provides an annual scholarship for a Buckhannon graduate pursuing higher education and a scholarship for a student attending WVWC.
