On Saturday, September 19, Jenkins Ford in Buckhannon will host its Fourth Annual Car Show benefitting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The day’s events will include something for everyone and will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be raffles, door prizes and trivia contests throughout the day. Proceeds from the event will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) for research. With the release of a new drug to treat pancreatic cancer, more research is needed to expand treatments, because not all treatments will work the same way.
At the 2025 event, six pancreatic cancer survivors were honored. Since that time, two survivors have passed away. At this year’s event, survivors will be honored and recognized at 1:30 p.m. At this time a group picture will be taken. To honor the survivors, there will be a PanCAN Choice car selected.
Former Jenkins Ford employee Jim Fetty passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2007. His first full-time job was with Jenkins Ford.
There will be over 25 trophies awarded to entries, including PanCAN Choice and Best of Show. If anyone has any questions, they can call Dennis Crawford at Jenkins Ford at 304-472-1700.
