Opal K. Lipps

Opal K. Lipps, age 73, of Rock Cave, WV, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home. 

She was born in Buckhannon on June 12, 1949, a daughter of the late Richard Charles and Kathleen Sophia Roth Lewis.  On June 18, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ralph G. Lipps, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters:  Olivia and husband Kelly Winkle of Georgetown, KY and Kathy Bryan of Rock Cave; three grandchildren:  Daniel and Heidi Bryan and Sarah Winkle; two sisters:  Deborah Sayre of Pickens and Denease Lewis of Helvetia; and one brother Steven Lewis and wife Melissa of Selbyville.

Opal had been employed by the WV Wildlife Center in French Creek for 25 years and was an avid gardener.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10-11:00 AM, the funeral hour, with Pastor David Jessie officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery.
