– The Buckhannon Water Department has announced that there will be a water service interruption on Monday, November 14, 2022, at approximately 8:00 a.m., for fire hydrant maintenance. The area affected will be Bosely Lane (at the bottom of Amalia Drive). The area may experience low pressure. The Water Department will work to have everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

Bulky Goods Collection, 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. – Bulky goods collection for large items such as couches, chairs, mattresses, appliances, etc. All Buckhannon Waste Department customers are allowed 4 items per month, and 8 tires per year.  You must call City Hall at 304-472-1651 by Wednesday, November 16, 2022, to schedule a pick-up.  Items must be at the curb by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, November 18th, to ensure pick-up.

FYI – Customers of the Buckhannon Utility Boards are able to pay their utility bill online with no additional charges. Even if you do not wish to pay your bill using this method you may still desire to set up an account, as it will allow you to monitor your consumption.

To sign up to use this service you need to complete the online registration, which includes knowing your Utility Board Account Number (it is printed on your bill) and the last amount you paid. Once your account has been established, you will just need to login with the proper email and password.
