Tuesday, June 2

  • Curbside Recycling Pickup begins at 6 a.m. Pickup occurs within Buckhannon city limits. You can find information about recycling on the city website, at City Hall or by calling the Recycling Center or Upshur County Solid Waste Authority at 304-472-4443.

  • Buckhannon Pride: Simple Ways We Keep Our Community Looking Its Best – The City is reminding residents to help keep the community clean, safe and welcoming for neighbors and visitors.   • City of Buckhannon Reminder of Yard Waste & Leaf Collection Procedures – Here are the City’s ongoing procedures for yard waste and loose leaf collection. Review the guidelines to ensure materials are properly prepared and placed for pickup on the correct dates, noting special dates due to large events and holidays.
  • City’s Street Sweeping Schedule – The City has established a monthly Street Sweeping schedule. To help crews keep your neighborhood clean, the City encourages residents to move vehicles off the street before the scheduled day.

Reminders

  • Trash Can Placement: Trash cans must be hidden from public view as much as possible during the week; place them at the curb the night before the collection and return them within 24 hours after the collection.
  • Utility Bill Payments: Pay utility bills online at Municipal Online Payments or by phone at 1-866-933-4026. Setting up an account allows you to monitor your consumption.
  • Report Repairs or Concerns: To report issues such as potholes or damaged signs, please call City Hall during business hours to submit a work order or use the Citizen Engagement tool.
