New talent joins Orion Strategies

BUCKHANNON, W.Va — Orion Strategies, a multi-state strategic communications and public relations firm, has recently added three new members to teams across its offices in West Virginia.

Jordan Henry and Steven Baublitz join the company’s North Central West Virginia office located in Buckhannon, WV. Matt Mullin has been added to the growing Shenandoah Valley office operating in Martinsburg, WV.

“We are thrilled to have these individuals join the Orion team. Their backgrounds in higher education, media relations, sports and overall communications experience will prove to be a valuable asset to our clients,” said Orion Strategies President, Curtis Wilkerson.

Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising with an emphasis in Public Relations through the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State University. During her undergraduate career, she was involved in creating and implementing multiple public relations and social media campaigns through her internship at the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture. She also participated in video production work for the Penn State Office of Strategic Communication.

Baublitz brings with him three years of journalism experience, covering local and state business-related topics, city government and a variety of entertainment events for Clarksburg’s WV News.  Baublitz graduated in 2018 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications and a minor and Sociology. 

Mullin comes to Orion Strategies from Alderson Broaddus University where he served as the Sports Information Director. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Interpersonal Communication from West Virginia University in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies Theory & Research from West Virginia University in 2019. His research as a graduate student has been featured in Psychology of Popular Media.

The three new employees will join a robust team across six offices, three states and Washington, DC. to aid clients with developing and executing public relations campaigns, social media development, community relations efforts, and creating and placing earned media with local outlets
