Nephrologist joins Davis Medical Center medical staff

Davis Medical Center is excited to welcome Dr. Sharmil Suma Kumaran, MD, to its medical staff. Dr. Kumaran, a nephrologist, brings a wealth of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the kidneys. His office is located on the 1st floor of the outpatient clinic at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

Dr. Kumaran received his medical degree from Government Medical College, University of Calicut in Kozhikode, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and further specialized in nephrology and hypertension with fellowship training at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.

“Dr. Kumaran is a crucial asset to Davis Medical Center and the community,” said Interim CEO Mark Doak. “Many people in this region are affected by hypertension and kidney disease. His expertise in providing specialized care for these conditions makes him an essential part of our healthcare team.”
