BUCKHANNON – Come one, come all. There’s a new business in town! Mountain Chic Boutique will officially open its doors on Saturday, Feb. 26 on Main Street in Buckhannon.

The boutique began as an online store in 2020. Due to high demand, Mountain Chic Boutique owner Jessica Scarrett – a Buckhannon resident since 2016 — is opening a brick-and-mortar location at 25 West Main Street in Buckhannon.

The grand opening will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free refreshments and snacks will be offered to guests of the boutique during that time. Get there early — free swag bags will be given to the first 50 customers who spend $75 or more at checkout.

Scarrett says the transition from an online store to a physical location will allow the boutique to establish a more personal connection with the community.

“When I wear a cute outfit, I have confidence,” Scarrett said. “I want to bring that confidence to Buckhannon.”

The boutique’s name, Mountain Chic Boutique, originates from the breathtaking sights and scenery of the beautiful state of West Virginia and the chic clothes available in-store and online. This women’s clothing store has a young, contemporary feel with a modern boho-chic style. Select sizes are also available to customers.

“I truly believe confidence starts with a few gal pals and a cute outfit,” Scarrett said. “I’m here to help you with both.”

With each online and in-store customer, Scarrett hopes to build a ‘community of strong, well-dressed women’ in Buckhannon and beyond.

Scarrett always wanted to open her own business. Now that she is living out her dream, she is excited to help Buckhannon residents get dressed for their own dreams.

Shop online or at the brick-and-mortar location at 25 West Main Street in Buckhannon. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for more details on new arrivals, sales and store events.
