Mary Francis Dagley

Mary Francis Dagley, age 93 of Buckhannon, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2026, peacefully at her home with her daughter by her side.

She was born August 2, 1932, in Mill Shoals, Illinois, a daughter of the late LeRoyal Iran (Durb) and Mary Francis Venters.

On September 30, 1950, she married the late Jonathan Boone Dagley, who preceded her in death. They were blessed to share 66 loving years side by side. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Hinchman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers and their spouses.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Hinchman of Buckhannon; one son, Darrell Dagley, and wife Joyce of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Jamie Hinchman, Bucky Hinchman and wife Virginia, and Trent Dagley; one grandson, in her heart, Russell Bennett and Bobby Jo of Horner, WV; four great-granddaughters, Aslynn, Ashley, and Tiffany Hinchman and Annabelle Dagley; three great-grandsons, Jonathan, Gavin, and Greyson Hinchman; four great-great-grandchildren, Gracie, Alilyana, Thomas, and Zephyr.

Ms. Dagley was a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church and was a loving full-time housewife. Ms. Dagley’s favorite pastimes included traveling, square-dancing, bowling, and spending time with all her family.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January  12, 2026, at the Heavner Cemetery with Pastor Greg Miller officiating.
