Martha Elizabeth Snyder

Martha Elizabeth Snyder, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born September 15, 1927, in Hinkleville, WV, a daughter of the late Victor and Flay Lane Brady. On February 2, 1951, she married Cecil R. Snyder who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Zinia Brady and son, Victor Snyder.

She is survived by three sons, Lynn Snyder and wife Renee, Ronald Snyder and wife Brenda and Jeffrey Snyder and wife Lois all of Buckhannon; one daughter, Sue Davis and husband Roland of Braxton County, WV; daughter-in-law, Debbie Orsburn and husband Tim of Buckhannon; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Floris Gilbert of FL; good friend, Idella Loudin of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Snyder delivered mail during WWII, helped on her family’s farm and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, listening to blue grass music, and reading books.

In honoring Mrs. Snyder’s wishes, she will be cremated.
