BUCKHANNON — Former longtime sheriff’s deputy Mark Davis has been tapped as Upshur County magistrate.
Twenty-sixth Judicial Circuit Court Judges Jacob Reger and Kurt Hall on Wednesday announced they had appointed Davis to fill the vacancy left by Mike Coffman, who recently transitioned to the post of chief deputy for the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.
Davis retired as captain from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department following 34 years of service. A longtime resident of Upshur County, Davis resides with his wife, Brenda.
