Lucile Myers Quertinmont, 93, passed away at her home in Bridgeport, W.Va. on September 20, 2020. She had formerly lived in Buckhannon, W.Va. and Fairmont, W.Va.

She was born on January 22, 1927, at Knawls Creek, Braxton County, to the late Aubrey and Ina Ware Myers.

In addition to her parents, Lucile was predeceased on March 25, 2018, by her husband, Henry Page Quertinmont, whom she married on February 13, 1947. She was also predeceased by brothers, Hubert Myers, Lester Myers, and a sister, Veta Lewis.

Surviving are daughter, Beth Q. Moore of Bridgeport, grandson, Michael J. Moore and his wife Emily and great granddaughter, Lucy, of Bridgeport and grandson, Patrick D. Moore of Baltimore, Md., and several nieces.

Lucile was educated in Lewis and Upshur counties and graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She was employed by the State of West Virginia and retired from the United States House of Representatives.

Lucile and her late husband were members of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care of Lucile and to special friends, Nancy, Judi and Sheila.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
