Lisa “Peepers” Ann Osburn

Lisa “Peepers” Ann Osburn, 59, of Buckhannon, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

She was born in Marysville, CA, on September 6, 1963, a daughter of the late Phillip Lee Canterbury and Kathryn Ann Hull Canterbury.

On July 27, 1985, Lisa married Randall Ervin Osburn. Together they shared over 37 years of love and the joys of raising their children.

Forever cherishing their memories of Lisa’s giving nature are her husband, Randy Osburn; two children: Jacob Osburn and Kathryn “Erin” Osburn; one granddaughter, Erica Osburn, all of Buckhannon; five siblings: Geraldine “Gerry” Lanigan and husband, Daniel, of Cleveland, OH, Dianna “Missy” Hunt and husband, L.E., of Beckley, WV, Phillip “Sam” Canterbury Jr. and wife, Sue, of Dale City, VA, David Canterbury and wife, Caroline, of Cincinnati, OH, and Joseph Canterbury of Danese, WV; mother and father-in-law: Marilyn and Jimmie Osburn of Tenmile; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Bayes and husband, John, of Ripley; and several adored nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lisa graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1981. She followed in her mother’s footsteps and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She spent several years at St. Joseph’s Hospital before becoming the Upshur County Health Nurse. Lisa spent her entire life caring for others in both her work and personal life. She was the rock. At a young age, Lisa earned the loving nickname of “Peepers” from her family, which continued her whole life. Her favorite pastime with family was playing games. Whether it was six cubes, Yahtzee, spoons, or cards, Lisa treasured the memories created with her loved ones. While she adored the role of mother, nothing gave Lisa more joy than her granddaughter. Erica became the light of her life. Lisa was the most caring and giving person and will be missed dearly by all who love her.

Lisa’s request for Cremation has been honored. A Private Inurnment will take place at a later date.

We, at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Lisa “Peepers” Ann Osburn. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClutterFuneralHome.com.
