BUCKHANNON — The Lions Club of Buckhannon will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under at Buckhannon City Park on Park Street on Saturday, April 8. No one can remember when the first Hunt was held, but we believe it must have been at least 50 years ago.
This year’s hunt is named in memory of Lion Matt Hymes, who organized our club’s hunt for decades. Fifteen prize eggs will be hidden throughout the park, which the finder can redeem for the prize of his/her choice at our table in the gazebo.
Children will be admitted to the park at 11 a.m.—those 4 and under first, as they have a special area in which to hunt. Lions ensure that every child finds at least one egg with jelly beans and every child receives a handful of chocolate eggs.
Come help us celebrate as we continue an annual tradition.
