Levera May Hosaflook

Levera May Hosaflook, 85, of Selbyville passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at home.

She was born in Alexander on December 15, 1939, a daughter of the late Frank Alderman and Loreta Marsh Alderman. On December 22, 1956, Levera married her love, Glenn Hosaflook, who preceded her in death on May 4, 1999. She had missed him dearly, now they are together again.

Levera graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1957 and was a proud homemaker. Her love for her home was only matched by her love for her family, especially her daughter, Glenna Huffman, who survives her. Levera was a woman of many talents and interests, including reading, word search, and audio books. These hobbies not only filled her time but also enriched her mind and spirit. Her commitment to serving her community was evident in her active membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans Chapter #36 of French Creek.

Levera’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a faithful listener of Dr. Charles Stanley. Her faith was not just in words but in actions, extending her love and kindness to all around her. As we remember Levera, we are reminded of the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, ‘The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.’ Levera truly lived well. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank and Loreta Alderman, her loving spouse, Glenn Hosaflook, and her brother, James Alderman.

Levera’s request for cremation has been honored by Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon.

We, at Clutter Funeral and Cremation, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Levera May Hosaflook. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClutterFuneralHome.com.
