Leona Adele Wamsley, a vibrant spirit born on January 10, 1990, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, left this world on January 29, 2026, in Burlington, Vermont.
At the young age of 36, Leona’s journey was filled with remarkable achievements and deep connections to those she cherished. Leona was a devoted mother to her two beloved children, Halen Wamsley and Donovan Rossi. Her children were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her parents, Janice Rollins of Vermont and Dion Wamsley and wife Nancy of Buckhannon. She shared a special connection with her brother, Lloyd Rollins of Vermont, and cherished the bonds with her many aunts and uncles: Ricky Rollins of Vermont; Julie Hyre; Ronnie Rollins and wife Bobby Jo; Debbie Kelly and husband Tom; Timmy Wamsley and wife Candy; and Mike Wamsley and wife Jackie, all of Buckhannon.
Leona was also preceded in death by her siblings, Luke Wamsley and Anna Wamsley; her grandparents, Joyce and Ronald Rollins, Sr., Rachel and Ronsdale Wamsley; and uncles Robbie Rollins, Nick Hyre, and Rocky Wamsley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 28, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 PM at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon, WV.
