TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc lacrosse team opened their postseason run with a forfeit win over Harrison County Wednesday night.

Harrison County forfeited two games during the regular season including a regular-season contest with Buckhannon-Upshur back on April 12.

The Lady Bucs defeated Harrison County during the regular season by a 21-0 score on March 23.

Buckhannon-Upshur, now 16-1 on the year, will now host St. Albans in the second round Friday at 7 p.m. at Freal “Red” Crites Memorial Stadium.

St. Albans defeated George Washington by an 11-10 score Wednesday night in Charleston to advance.

The Lady Bucs defeated St. Albans twice during the regular season, winning at home on April 1 by a 19-1 score and then beating the Red Dragons on the road April 22 by a 17-6 count.
