Kenneth Ray Wright

Kenneth Ray Wright, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, April 7, 2025, in Buckhannon.

He was born June 27, 1944, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Randolph and Mary Marie Wagner Wright. On March 5, 1964, he married Glenda Jean Dean, who preceded him in death on February 22, 2023.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Mark and Randy Wright; two sisters, Janet Wright and Connie Waybright; one sister-in-law, Diane Wright and one brother-in-law, Gary Marsh.

Surviving are four sons, Kevin Wright and wife Pam of Volga, WV, Kenny Wright of Buckhannon, Victor Wright and wife Lisa of Carrolton, WV and Travis Wright and wife Jackie of Brooklet, GA; two daughters, Michele Wright and Glenna Rae both of Buckhannon; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; five brothers, Robert Wright and wife Gay, William Wright, Donald Wright and wife Janie, John Wright and wife Anita and David Wright all of Buckhannon; eight sisters, Carol Ann Marsh and husband Don of GA, Sandra Marsh, Vonda Simons and Regina Merriman and husband Mark all of Buckhannon, Debra Henderson and husband James of VA, Margaret Montante and husband Tony of SC, Annett Cagle and husband David of LA and Alisa Jackson of Belington, WV; one aunt, Betty Pierce of FL and his beloved dog, Gabe.

Mr. Wright was a Service Rig Operator in the Oil and Gas industry and a member of the Kesling Mill Lions Club. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed classic cars and camping.

In honoring his wishes, Mr. Wright will be cremated.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3 PM in the Kesling Mill Cemetery in Buckhannon with Sherry Dean officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kesling Mill Lions Club c/o Carol Waybright 2395 Kesling Mill Rd Buckhannon, WV 26201 or the Kesling Mill Cemetery c/o Carey Wagner 3003 Kesling Mill Rd Buckhannon, WV 26201.
