Karen “Sue” Moore

Karen “Sue” Moore, 75, of Buckhannon entered the Gates of Heaven to join those whom had gone before her on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She passed in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loving family.

She was born in Buckhannon on June 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Grandville Clinton and Virginia Lee Berry Stalnaker.

On December 21, 1962, Sue married the love of her life, David Lee Moore. Together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage and raising their son before David’s passing on January 26, 2003.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by five brothers: Danny, Robert “Bob”, Forrest, Barrett, and Joseph “Joe” Stalnaker; and three sisters: Jeanne Allman, Katherine Stalnaker, and Linda Stalnaker.

Forever cherishing their memories of Sue’s caring nature are one son, Steven Lee Moore of Buckhannon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sue graduated from Weston High School in 1963 and previously attended Broad Street United Methodist Church in Weston. Over the years Sue worked as a secretary for Dr. Harold Allman and as a Nurse’s Aide for St. Joseph’s Hospital. She also owned The Video Zone in Weston with her husband, David. Sue was a good listener and the go to person for advice or assistance for many. She was willing and ready to help anyone she could and always cared for others before herself.

Family and friends will gather at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Clutter Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Lorentz Cemetery.

We, at Clutter Funeral and Cremation, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Karen “Sue” Moore. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClutterFuneralHome.com.
