JV Lady Bucs drop outing to Musselman

TENNERTON – A rough second quarter did in the Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs in their Saturday afternoon home encounter with the Musselman Appleman.

The Lady Bucs trailed by just a 6-2 count after one quarter but were outscored in the second stanza by an 18-4 margin and trailed by a 24-6 score at the break. They were outscored by a 10-4 margin in the third quarter and trailed heading into the final quarter by a 34-10 score.

The Lady Bucs claimed the final quarter by a 12-5 margin.

Timia Scott and Jasmine Morris each had 10 points for Musselman. Casadie Lahman and Brooklyn Smith led the Lady Bucs with seven points apiece.

The JV Lady Bucs are now 0-4 on the season. They will return to action on Jan. 4 hosting North Marion at 5:45 p.m.
