JV Bucs fall to Morgantown, 85-36

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Bucs couldn’t slow down the Morgantown Mohigans” attack in an 85-36 setback Wednesday evening.

Morgantown made 14 three-pointers in the game.

The Bucs trailed by a 22-9 score after one quarter with Xavier Robinette putting in six points and Damion White three.

B-U managed just seven points in the second quarter, getting four from Brody McDaniels and three from Jacob Frye.

That left the Bucs down by a 49-14 score at the half.

Buckhannon-Upshur lost the third quarter by a 20-11 count with Robinette scoring six, Colten Warner three, and Brody Jeran two for the Bucs.

They went into the final quarter down by a 69-29 score.

The Bucs lost the final quarter by a 16-9 score with Frye scoring three points and White, Jeran and Jimmie Green each dropping in a basket.

Marcus Goins led Morgantown with 13 points.

Robinette had a team-high for the Bucs with 12 points.

The Bucs fell to 6-10 on the season.

They were scheduled to wrap up their season Thursday hosting East Fairmont.
