John Joe Snyder, age 74, of Elkins, WV, died Friday, May 23, 2025, at WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins.
He was born December 25, 1950, in Weston, WV, a son of the late Jesse Guy and Bertie Olive Pickrell Snyder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Steve Snyder.
He is survived by one son, John Joe Snyder, II and wife Autumn of Buckhannon, WV; one daughter, Lea Ann Brooks and husband Leroy of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Timothy Snyder and Justin Brooks both of Buckhannon; significant other, Barbara Lol of Buckhannon; one brother, Martin Snyder of Weston and friend, Pastor Robert Grandusky.
Mr. Snyder was a Glass Worker and an active member of AA, achieving over 18 years of sobriety. He enjoyed shooting pool, talking on CB’s, and playing the guitar. He loved working on vehicles and attended auto body school to learn how to paint vehicles.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Grandusky officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, WV.
