Jesse Koon, age 66, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, November 21, 2022, at his home.
He was born September 10, 1956, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Shirley and Bessie Lowther Koon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Dulaney and Dorothy Clingerman; three brothers, Jim, Ray and Jerry Koon; infant brother, Kermit Eugene Koon; one sister-in-law, Marsha Koon and three brothers-in-law, Frank Sampson, Charles Dulaney and Bud Clingerman.
Surviving are one sister, Zelma Wilsey and husband Neal of MD; two brothers, Claud Koon of French Creek, WV and Richard Koon and wife Pam of Buckhannon; two sisters-in-law, Becky Koon of Buckhannon and Dotty Koon of OH and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Becky Koon, Trudy Hughes, Beth Day, Gary O, Hospice, the Dialysis Center and to everyone who helped transport him.
In honoring Mr. Koon’s wishes, his body was donated to the West Virginia Human Gift Registry.
