West Virginia Wesleyan’s Lady Bobcats won the Jasmine Clagett Memorial at Cebe Ross Field, piling up 181 points behind standout sprints, distance depth, and a 4×400 relay victory.
West Virginia Wesleyan turned in a strong all-around showing at the Jasmine Clagett Memorial, finishing second overall at home. Royell Salmon won the 200, Joseph Liveo took the 400, and Peyton Slider and Michael Hansford added field-event wins as the Bobcats piled up points.
West Virginia Wesleyan men’s tennis dropped a tight 4-3 non-conference decision to Jefferson, with singles wins from Stefans Audrins, Timothe Plaza and Leandro Arranda.
West Virginia Wesleyan swept Wheeling at home, surviving a 9-8 opener sparked by a five-run third inning before edging a 2-1 pitcher’s duel in Game 2. Morgan Greene slammed the door in relief in the first game and fired a complete game in the nightcap.
Charleston’s timely bats and strong pitching swept the Bobcats in Buckhannon, 18-6 and 8-0. Samuel Lemond starred with a 6-for-6, 4-RBI opener, then two homers and four RBIs in game two as Charleston cashed in on key errors and big innings.
