MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Mon Hills Music Group’s artist Jennifer Cooper is releasing a new single, “Facebook Friends,” on March 9 and it will be available on all streaming services.
“Facebook Friends” is an upbeat pop track inspired by the unexpected moment a former friend sends a Facebook friend request, reopening feelings that had long been set aside.
The song captures feelings of nostalgia, confusion and growth that can surface from a simple notification. With sharp, relatable lyrics and infectious pop energy, Cooper transforms a modern social media moment into a story about boundaries, reflection and emotional maturity.
“I was like, I don’t really know how to process these emotions, so while my dad was on the phone with my grandparents, I picked up my guitar and wrote this entire song,” Cooper said.
“Facebook Friends” is Cooper’s first official release and introduces her as a fresh voice in pop, blending personal storytelling with contemporary themes that resonate in today’s digital world.
A graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Cooper brings emotional awareness and honesty to her songwriting.
