James W. Alderman

James W. Alderman, 81, of Buckhannon died at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, October 29, 2020. He was born on November 18, 1938, in Upshur County a son of the late Wease Wesley and Rose Mary Eskew Alderman.

He was united in marriage on September 4, 1960, to Ada Lofton Alderman who survives.  In addition to his wife he is also survived by one daughter Dawn M. Alderman of Buckhannon; two sons:  Charles W. Alderman and Matthew R. and wife Melissa Alderman all of Buckhannon; four grandchildren:  Brianna, Joshua, Thomas and Bryton; four great grandchildren: Destiny, Alexis, Matthew and Jerimiah; one sister Carolyn J. and husband James Rohr of Buckhannon.

Jim was a member and Past Master of the Franklin Lodge No. 7 A.F & A.M.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren.  He owned and operated Alderman’s Barber Shop in Buckhannon for several years where he always loved to share his hunting and fishing stories with his customers.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Holbrook Health Care for there wonderful care over the past few years and also a special thank you to the CCU Staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation and memorial services will be held at a later date.
