TENNERTON – High Point Construction earned a huge win this past week to claim the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League first-quarter title.
High Point Construction defeated Sealcoat Concepts by a 25 ½-14 ½ score to make the move from third place last week to the first-quarter champion this week.
Highland Landscaping won by the slimmest of margins as they claimed the title by ½ point with 110 points.
They leap-frogged last week’s leader Highland Landscaping who lost a decisive decision by a 25-15 count to Custom Cabinets.
Custom Cabinets finished runner-up with 109 ½ points while Highland Landscaping dropped to fourth with 102 points.
Feola’s Flowers placed third after downing Baker Tilly by a 26-14 score ending the quarter with 106 ½ points.
In the other two matches of the week, Lisa Cain Edward Jones beat Hank Ellis Insurance by a 20 ½-19 ½ score and First Community Bank defeated Sam’s Pizza by a 21 ½-18 ½ score.
Chris Brady of High Point Construction earned Low Actual honors with a 34 while Howard Feola of Feola’s Flowers won Low Net honors with a 32.
