Help plan the 2019 Green Bean Celebration

Planning for the Fourth Annual Green Bean Celebration Weekend is underway. The first meeting of 2019 is Feb. 5th at 5:15 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church (13 South Locust Street, Buckhannon). Volunteers who want to have fun while helping to build up the community are needed, so please consider attending the meeting and bring your ideas and a willingness to share your talents.

Organized in 2016 by Dr. Joseph Reed, the events leading up to the celebration are designed to promote volunteerism, agriculture and healthy nutrition, as well as to gather fresh green beans for Parish House meals. Events have included a recipe contest, art/writing competition, social snapping and growing green beans.

For more information please contact Dr. Reed at 304-472-2146 or Maria Bray at 304-997-5110, or send an email to GreenBeanDay@hotmail.com. Check the group out on Facebook at Annual Green Bean Day Celebration.
