Helen Jean (Burr) Heater

Helen Jean (Burr) Heater, 86, of Buckhannon, W.Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 26, 2021.

She is survived by nine children; Wanda Alexander, Laura Hall, Joyce Duke, Anita Foster, Edward, Teddy, Gerald, Mark, and Luke Heater all of West Virginia; four siblings, Imogene Donoley of Ohio, Sue Isabella of Ohio, Faye Black, and Jennie Reed of West Virginia, several grandchildren and great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerl M. Heater; 3 children, David, Diane, and Mike; 9 siblings, Frank, Tony, Bob, Junior, and Richard Burr, Geraldine McCartney, Joann Jones, Martha Lewis, Mary Lou, and some other relatives and friends.

She was a Christian by faith and was a homemaker (mother & wife). She spent some of her time here on this earth working at the sewing factory, house cleaning, and caretaking for others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Fork Cemetery, in French Creek, W.Va.
