Health Fair set for Oct. 18 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon

St. Joseph’s Hospital will host a community Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the hospital, 1 Amalia Drive in Buckhannon. Attendees should enter through the main entrance.

The fair will run alongside the Buckhannon-Upshur Rotary blood screening. Appointments for the screening are available at https://RotaryBloodScreening.as.me/.

Tables in attendance are expected to include:

  • STJ Emergency Department/Trauma Program
  • Peak Health
  • STJ Center for Women’s Health
  • STJ Imaging offering free DEXA Achilles bone density scans
  • STJ Primary Care providing free glucose stick tests and blood pressure readings
  • STJ Breast Cancer Support
  • STJ Cardiology
  • Feed My Sheep Food Outreach

Donations will be collected for Feed My Sheep Food Outreach. Requested items include:

  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Deodorant and toothbrushes
  • Diapers (sizes 3–6) and pull-ups (any size)
  • Baby wipes
  • Canned vegetables and ravioli
  • Jelly, peanut butter and cereal

Buckhannon-Upshur’s Lady Bucs wrapped up the regular season with an eighth-place finish (40 points) at the Harry Green Invitational in Bridgeport. Rylen Carlye led the way with four top-five finishes, and the 4×800 relay posted the team’s best relay mark.
