KERENS – The tension in the air could be cut with a knife Saturday evening at Elkins Raceway. All eyes were on the Super Late Model class during the second annual Jim Stout Memorial race at Elkins Raceway. With a $5,037 payout at stake, drivers put the pedal to the metal for the checkered flag and large pay day.

After 50 feature laps, a whopping $5,037 was awarded to the fastest Super Late Model driver, Jacob Hawkins. The second place Super Late Model driver, Zach Dohm was awarded $3,037 while the third place winner Tyler Carpenter was awarded $2,037.
