Harry Ervin “Buck” Brown, Jr., age 84, of Weston, WV, died Saturday, November 11, 2023, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.
He was born July 9, 1939, in Buffalo Calf, WV, a son of the late Harry Ervin and Edith Whited Brown. On July 26, 2006, he married Elizabeth Jill Wilfong who preceded him in death on April 19, 2014.
Surviving are two sons, K. Doug Brown and wife CJ of Scott Depot, WV and Harry “Duke” Brown III of Morgantown, WV and one grandson, Jaret Brown of Akron, OH.
Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he was called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Friends will be received Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
