Hank Ellis All-Stars of the Week: Elijah Bryant and Mia Sappey

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of October 17 – October 23 are Elijah Bryant and Mia Sappey.
Bryant is a senior tailback on the Buccaneer football team.

In a 48-0 win over Grafton, Bryant ran for two touchdowns and 90 yards on 10 carries averaging 9.0 yards per carry. He was part of a backfield that racked up 458 rushing yards in the win.

Sappey is a junior on the Lady Buc cross country team. She had a top 20 finish in the Region I championships to help the Lady Bucs to a third-place finish and a spot in Saturday’s state championships. She clocked a time of 21:03.57.

Congratulations to Bryant and Sappey as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
