George H. Roessing, Jr.

George H. Roessing, Jr., age 92, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his home.

He was born December 30, 1929, in Buckhannon, a son of the late George H. and Antha Luzader Roessing. On January 28, 1950, he married Patty Ann Pringle who preceded him in death on July 9, 2020.

Surviving are one daughter, Tracey Ann Bevins and husband Dennis of Bruceton Mills, WV; one son George Roessing III and wife Mary Alice of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Jessica Desmond and husband Dan of Clarksburg, WV; three grandsons, Christopher Bevins and wife Danielle of Bruceton Mills, Michael Roessing and wife Krystal of Buckhannon and Mitchell Roessing of Charlottesville, VA; four great granddaughters, Sophia Johnson, Elizabeth and Emma Bevins all of Bruceton Mills and Annica McManus of Clarksburg and two great grandsons, William Bevins of Bruceton Mills and Blake Roessing of Fairmont, WV.

Mr. Roessing was the owner of George Roessing and Son Wholesale Meats as well as a farmer. He was a Christian by faith and the Upshur County Commissioner for 24 years.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
