BUCKHANNON — Five West Virginia Wesleyan College alumni have been appointed to key leadership positions across the nation and in Canada.

Former member of the Board of Trustees Randall Crawford ’89, has been named chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors at AltaGas in Calgary, Alberta.  Crawford is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry.  His most recent role as senior vice president and president, midstream and commercial with EQT Corporation.

Prior to joining EQT, Crawford held various senior financial and regulatory management positions with Consolidated Natural Gas Company in Pittsburgh. He has previously served as a director for the American Gas Association, the Energy Association of Pennsylvania, the West Virginia Oil and Gas Association, and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.

He is a director of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and a member of the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute Council.

Gregg Donley ’70, another former member of the College’s Board of Trustees, has been named Comprehensive Health Services’ chief growth officer.  He previously served as president of the technical services unit within Northrup Grumman’s information technology sector, where his duties included managing projects and capture functions across the IT and business operations areas.

He has also worked as a senior executive at Computer Sciences Corp. and director of business development at DynCorp International.

David Elges ’94, who has served as the Chief Information Officer of Washington, D. C.’s Child and Family Services Agency for two years, is now the City of Boston’s new CIO.  Elges has more than 15 years of information technology experience.  He has acted as an IT consultant and magazine columnist.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan recently appointed Patrick Devine ’86 to the Charles County Circuit Court.  He has worked as a partner with the Prince George’s County-based firm of Sasscer, Clagett, & Bucher.  He specializes in criminal defense, personal injury, and family law and has also served as a volunteer lawyer with the Family Law Pro-Bono clinic at the Charles County Courthouse since 2002.

Prior to joining his current firm, Mr. Devine was a partner at Devine & Fanning, P.A.  After graduating from Wesleyan, he received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Finally, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital CEO, Avah Stalnaker ’77, has been named 2018-2019 chairwoman of the West Virginia Hospital Association.  After earning her B.S.N. at Wesleyan, Stalnaker was employed fulltime at Stonewall Jackson as a staff nurse.  She earned her master’s degree in health-care administration in 1991 from the University of Minnesota.

She was an associate administrator at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital for 21 years and has served as its chief executive officer since 2012.  As a member of the West Virginia Hospital Association, she serves on the WVHA Board of Trustees and as a member of the quality and compensation committees.  Stalnaker also serves as an AHA Section for Small or Rural Hospitals delegate and is a member of the Regional Policy Board 3.

Wesleyan’s Alumni Council honored Stalnaker with the Alumni Achievement Award in 2013.
