First Community Bank takes over first place in Men’s Golf League

TENNERTON – First Community Bank had a huge week two of the third quarter (week 12 overall) as they took over the top spot in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings.

They downed Baker Tilly by a 19 ½-13 ½ score to move into first and hold a one-point lead over second place High Point Construction with 37 points.

High Point Construction had the biggest win differential of the week as they claimed a 20 ½-12 ½ decision over Highland Landscaping as they remained in second place with 36 points.

Custom Cabinets jumped up from sixth place to third place after a 19-11 ½ victory over previous leader Lisa Cain Edward Jones. Lisa Cain Edward Jones fell all the way to seventh place this week.

Hank Ellis Insurance moved up to fourth place from seventh place last week with a 18 ½-16 win over Feola’s Flowers.

In the other contest of the week, Sam’s Pizza improved four spots from ninth to fifth after an 18-13 victory over UniFirst Corporation.

Steve Jeran of Hank Ellis Insurance brought home both Low Actual and Low Net honors this week after posting a 35 Low Actual score and a 31 Low Net score.
