First Community Bank takes early third-quarter lead in men’s golf

TENNERTON – Third-quarter action got underway in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League this past Wednesday with First Community Bank taking the early lead.

First Community Bank downed High Point Construction by a 22 ½-17 ½ score to take the top spot this week.

Hank Ellis Insurance resides in second place after a 22-18 victory over Lisa Cain Edwards Jones.

In a tie for third place is Sam’s Pizza and Custom Cabinets.

Sam’s Pizza defeated Highland Landscaping by a 21-19 score while Custom Cabinets downed Feola’s Flowers by that same 21-19 score.

Jimmy Dean of First Community Bank took Low Actual honors with a 36 while Dean and Forrest Elmore of Custom Cabinets shared Low Net honors with 31s.
