Fire decimates home on Bill Grose Road Tuesday

ADRIAN – A fire on Bill Grose Road resulted in a total loss of property, but no one was injured.

Adrian Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chuck Rutherford said they received a call about a structure fire at 174 Bill Grose Road at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, and the fire was out by 1:58 p.m.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire.

“There were supposedly two dogs in there, but we’re thinking that they got them out,” Rutherford said. “It takes a trailer about seven minutes to go up.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called to investigate.

Adrian Volunteer Fire Department, Washington District Volunteer Fire Company, Buckhannon Fire Department, Banks District Volunteer Fire Department and Upshur County EMS all responded to the scene.
