Feola’s Flowers and Hank Ellis Insurance sit atop of men’s golf league standings

TENNERTON – Following a week off after a rain out, the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League was back in action with week 10 play Wednesday.

It was another week of change in the standings as Feola’s Flowers and Hank Ellis Insurance are in a tie for first place.

Feola’s Flowers downed First Community Bank by a 22 ½-17 ½ score and Hank Ellis Insurance defeated last week’s leader Sam’s Pizza by a 23-17 count.

Feola’s Flowers and Hank Ellis Insurance now have 106 ½ points while Sam’s Pizza dropped to third with 105 ½ points.

Highland Landscaping dropped from second place to fourth with 104 ½ points despite a 20 ½-19 ½ win over Lisa Cain Edward Jones.

Custom Cabinets stayed in fifth place with 104 points after a 22 ½-17 ½ victory over High Point Construction.

Chris Brady of Custom Cabinets claimed Low Actual honors with a 34 while J.D. Curry of Highland Landscaping brought home Low Net honors with a 31.
