Family Support Center to sponsor free family bowling night Jan. 17

BUCKHANNON — The Mountain CAP Family Support Center is sponsoring a Free Family Bowling Night this Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Woody’s Bowling Center.

Woody’s Bowling Center is located at 22 Vicksburg Road in Buckhannon.

Bring your family out for an evening of fun. Admission includes games and shoes. Please follow the Mountain CAP, Inc. Facebook page for updates, such as postponements or cancellations due to inclement weather.

Katheleen R. “Kathy” Eskew, 74, of French Creek, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 29, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. A retired St. Joseph’s Hospital unit secretary and caregiver, she is survived by her husband Carl and family.

Wesley Ed Howard

Wesley Ed Howard, 93, died January 30, 2026, at home in Hinkleville, where he’d lived since childhood. A sharp-witted family man and outdoorsman, he served in Korea, earned a WVU degree, and built Buckhannon’s Southern States through his famous “buy, sell, or trade” style.
